After 4 days of on and off rain and a short cold spell, we are starting to see results. Josh's onions are peeking through the ground, and it is all he can do not to pull them. Mine are too, but that doesn't really count. We bought brussell sprouts, cauliflower and cabbage plants at M&M this weekend. And Josh wanted more onions. And of course, I found some seeds I didn't have, so now we have snow peas to plant. I haven't planted those, but Shirley, a friend of mine says they are easy to grow and good. So I'm going to plant some of those. I think we need another row of beets also - Marlene said she wanted some of Josh's beets, and wants me to can them too.
This is one of the hardest times of the year. Spring is here for the most part, and it's warming up. Time has finally changed to Daylight Savings, and it's light when I get home. But, school is still in. UGH. I have to get supper done and kids in bed by 8:30 and 9. But all I want to do is walk around outside and see how much things have grown!!!! And one of my cows had a calf Thursday. That's another thing. I want to go see them each evening too. One of these days I will be independantly wealthy, and all I will do is work on the farm.
This blogging thing is cool. I just have to figure out how to make time to do it. But I think it will be a good way to keep everyone up to date!!
And thanks Aunt Gail! You are my first follower!!!! Luv you!!! When are you coming to Tam & Marks? Are they still planning on coming down there for Thanksgiving? You know I'll be there! With bells on!!! And I heard you had surgery. But not until like a week or more after you had it. You need to call me and let me know what is going on. Or I probably need to call and see what is going on. Either way. I should have known about the surgery BEFORE you had it. Not after. (Yes, dad - you included.....!!!!!)
